In post World War I Italy gained notoriety on an international level thanks to the combination of the budding industrial design and the most famous names in contemporary architecture, Stilnovo was one of the first companies to transfer this blend to the lighting sector.

Bruno GATTA (Italian, 1904-1976)
Bruno Gatta set up Stilnovo in 1946 when he founded in Lainate in an industrial suburb of Milan for the production of lamps for civil and industrial use. This company is now part of Italian design history.
The lamps are in original vintage condition. Some scratches and minor dents commensurate with age. Both in working order with original switches and cables. Will need rewiring.
