Fabulous 18th century hand-crafted wooden wheelwrights tool used for measuring the circumference of wagon wheels to determine the required length of iron strip. The large moveable wooden wheel is probably made from oak and elm contrasting in colour. A large iron hook is attached so that you can easily display it hung up. It is a solid piece with great age and wonderful orginal patina. It would look fabulous hung in the kitchen, man cave or give as the best unusual gift. Measurements: H 44cm (including handle); W 22cm (wheel).
Glorius array of colourful impressionist roses, intricately painted by accomplished artist, Alison M Dickens (1917-2007). This is an oil painting on board with original beautiful carved frame. It is inscribed on the bottom of the painting on the right by the artist: 'Roses from My Garden'. It is dated bottom right '1960'. Alison is a very talented artist who has created a beautiful artwork to adorn your home. It is in its original frame and ready to hang. Measurements including frame: H 58cm; W 50.5cm.
Antique c1890 emerald green,hand-blown, cut-glass decanter, with original cut glass stopper. This is a superb example of Victorian hand-blown glass with a stunning shade of green glass catching the light perfectly when on display. It is finished with an intricately hand-blown, rope-twisted handle to maximum effect. A few minor scratches on the base commensurate with age and use.
C1908 beautiful Arts & Crafts/Art Nouveau, hand-hammered, copper box with decorative brass applied decoration and secured with copper studs. There is a semi-circular raised carrying handl in brass and copper. The interior is lined with green baize. Overall, in great condition for its age. Attributed to J&F Pool Ltd. This is a timeless piece with lovely original colour and patina. It is small, portable, and useful to store your gems in. Measurements: H 4.5cm; W 12.5cm; D 8.5cm.
Late 19th century/early 20th century colourful Satsuma porcelain and emamel bowl. Exquisitely hand-painted flowers and lakeside scene depicting two pairs of magnificent Mandarin ducks. The ducks are painted in vibrant coulours especially the strutting male showing off his tale feathers! There are also Mandarin ducks decorated around the edge of the bowl. The Satsuma bowl has fine signature craze glaze with an intended decorative 'finger' indent on the side of the bowl with corresponding raised area inside. There is a very fie crack in the glaze on the side of the bowl. It is finsihed off with a finely edged gold and wine coloured geometric border. Overall, a stunning piece. Measurements: H 7.5cm; Diameter 18.5cm
C1900 Art Nouveau, solid brass charger or tray by JOSEPH SANKEY & SONS. Stamped clearly on reverse 'J&S'. Joseph Sankey & Sons began making fine art metal ware from around 1890 through to circa 1914. Stamped on reverse: Made in England; J.S&S; Solid Brass. Measurements: Diameter 31.5cm. A beautiful, solid and weighty piece.
